Dory Williams

Please meet Dory Williams! Dory is currently completing her master’s in social work at Samford University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. She joined ELI Thrive as an intern in August 2025 and will graduate from graduate school in May 2026. Originally from Rome, Georgia, Dory has a heart for walking alongside families and learning how to best support communities through compassionate, empowering care.

During her time at ELI, Dory has loved being surrounded by people who serve others so well. She describes ELI Thrive as a welcoming, encouraging community and feels grateful to be part of the work happening here.

Outside of school and interning, Dory enjoys playing pickleball, spending time outdoors, and being with friends. And in case you’re wondering about childhood dreams, when she was five, she was absolutely convinced she would grow up to be an alligator hunter!

Dory is excited to see how ELI Thrive continues to grow and impact families, and she feels truly blessed to be part of the journey.
