Macy Brittain-Thrive Coach

Macy started with ELI in August of 2018 as a Samford Masters of Social Work intern. After falling in love with the mission and vision of ELI, Macy interned for a second year and then was excited to be offered a job upon her graduation in May 2020. Macy grew up in Acworth, Georgia and became passionate about missions work in high school. After spending college summers in Guatemala working in community development, she turned that passion into a career at ELI!

According to Macy, the most inspiring part of her job is seeing the drive moms have to move their families from crisis to thriving. She is consistently awed by the sheer will-power and determination to raise a family and accomplish huge life goals.

Macy currently lives in East Lake and is married to Ian. They have a 1-year-old son, Coleman, and are active members of Redeemer Community Church. When she is not at work, Macy can most often be found chasing her son and her pup around, but she loves to thrift shop and read on her back deck when she finds time. She also loves the food scene in Birmingham. Her current favorite coffee is Punch Love in Avondale - be sure to check out their seasonal lattes!
