Yaireth Gomez's Venezuelan Guasacaca (Wasakaka)
According to National Today, March 23rd is National Chips and Dip Day. Sticking with the tradition, (that we started last month) we are sharing yet another family recipe and passing it onto our extended ELI Thrive family.
Here is a healthy & great guacamole alternative from Success Coach Yaireth Gomez.
Itโs simple to make, just toss everything into your blender, and itโs ready in less than 5 minutes! This sauce is great as a chip or veggie dip, salad dressing, empanadas, or spreading on grilled foods!
1 avocado ๐ฅ
1 green pepper ๐ซ
1 garlic clove ๐ง
A stalk of cilantro ๐ฟ
Half a yellow onion ๐ง
Salt & pepper to your liking ๐ง
A light splash of apple cider vinegar)
Juice of 1 lime
2 spoonfuls of olive oil
Mayo or greek yogurt to your liking (makes it creamier)
Gather and prepare your ingredients. Remove any thick, large stems from your cilantro, but donโt worry too much about it, as it will all get processed/ blended anyhow. Blend/ food process it all up & you have an awesome healthy sauce that lasts 3-5 days (1 day in the Gomez house)!
